The situation
A quote, invoice, note and letter about one issue often arrive at different times.
Cases, groups and categories
A case brings together the documents, notes, letters, emails and steps of one situation. You file your cases in groups and categories, like a cabinet and its drawers.
An invoice, a note and a letter can concern the same issue even when they arrive on different days. You name the case and choose its type. You can then place it in a group or category and add the items that belong there. Search and filters help you return to it. Its overview brings together documents, notes, letters and, where present, selected emails and analysis reports.

Zelnest does not merge cases or decide which item belongs to your issue.

Search across the whole application and filter by group and category.
In “Home repairs”, you first keep a quote and an invoice. You note “check the quote reference”. When another document arrives, you return to the same case, add it and reread your note before asking for clarification. The case connects your work in Analysis and Letters; it does not settle a disagreement for you.
If an email or invoice might concern two situations, check its name, date and content before attaching it. An item kept elsewhere will not appear here automatically. Zelnest does not merge cases or choose your filing system for you.
Each document can be linked to you or to one of your companies.
Groups and categories of your own, for cases, contacts and due dates.
You can change a case's name or description and rename a file. Before an allowed deletion, Zelnest shows the effects and asks you to confirm.
Zelnest files nothing and merges no case unless you choose to. Deleting a case does not touch your due dates or the payments you entered.
