Cookies and browser storage

What we call cookies and storage
A cookie is a small file saved by your browser; the browser's local storage and session storage play a comparable role. This page states what Zelnest places there, why, for how long and how to erase it.
No optional trackers
To date, neither the website nor the application uses any cookie or storage for audience measurement, advertising or profiling, and no third-party resource is loaded. Everything described below is necessary for the operation requested or for recording your choice.
Information website and trial
The public pages do not set any cookie. They use two local storage keys:
zn-essai-last: the identifier of your current analysis, the language and the expiry date (24 hours at most), solely to retrieve your result if you go back or reload the page. It contains neither the document nor the result; it is deleted when the analysis has expired or no longer exists.zn-cookie-choice: your answer to the banner (Accept or Refuse) and the version of the catalogue, so as not to ask you again on every page. No maximum duration for this storage has yet been confirmed; you can clear it in your browser.
Application: cookies
When you log in:
zelnest_session: recognises your login; reserved to the server (HttpOnly), not transmitted by third-party sites (SameSite Strict), valid for 7 days at most and removed on logout.zelnest_mail_oauth: present only while a Gmail or Microsoft mailbox is being connected (10 minutes at most), to link the authorisation return to your browser.
Application: local storage
zelnest-interface-language: the interface language.zelnest.pwa.installed: an indicator that the application is installed on the device.zelnest.replySignature: your choice to add your signature to replies.zelnest-essai: the token for resuming a trial, placed when you open the application from the trial; the code removes it as soon as it attempts the resumption. If it remains in the browser, it is unusable after 24 hours on the server side and you can erase it.
Duration of local preferences
The maximum duration of other locally kept preferences has not yet been confirmed. They may remain on this device until you clear browser storage.
Application: session storage
Erased when the tab is closed: zelnest-account-tab (section open in the settings), zelnest-retour-au-site (website page to return to), zelnest-onboarding-bar (state of the reminder to complete the profile), zelnest-sharing-quarantine (local block on sharing with AI in case of doubt) and zelnest-pack-confirmation (state of a Pack request).
Cached files
The application may keep in the browser cache a closed list of public files (offline pages, stylesheets, scripts, icons and fonts) to work faster and offline. No document, no response from the application and no personal page is kept there.
Your choices and their withdrawal
A tracker that is not strictly necessary will be set only after clear information and your choice, never by the mere continuation of browsing; Accept and Refuse are equally easy. The "Manage my cookies" link at the bottom of each page reopens your choice so that you can change or withdraw it. You can also erase cookies and storage in your browser settings: you will be logged out and the banner will return.
Contact and effective date
